We were privileged to have Ms. Hanrahan's company in Rome for an entire week! This post includes her Roman welcome, being home while in Rome, our Italian school's soccer tournament, cooking in the Cenci, touring the city, and Lois turning 21!

hi Aya, looking at you and your friends having the great adventures there in Italy especially celebrating lois' 21st birthday reminds me of the song from the movie"fiddler on the roof"
here it goes....
Is this the little girl I carried?
Is this the little boy at play?
I dont remember growing older, when did they?
When did she get to be a beauty?
Then did he grow to be so tall?
Wasnt it yesterday when they were small?
sunrise, sunset,sunrise sunset
Swiftly flow the days...
seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
blossoming even as we gaze
sunrise sunset sunrise sunset
swiftly flow the years
one season following another
laden with happiness and tears
What words of wisdom can I give them?
How can I help to ease their way?
now they must learn from one another, day by day....
My best wishes to you, your friends and to the people you meet whom you learned from and loved you along the way...
Happiness and peace to you Aya!
Always,
MAMIY(your own spelling which reminds me of the short notes you gave me when you were small) ahhh its indeed "swiftly flow the years!"
